Cotton and linen are sustainable and natural fabrics. They are not only environmentally friendly but also soft and comfortable. Always remember to separate your whites and colours. New linen dyes have a tendency to bleed. We highly recommend you to hand wash your linen clothes. Place them in a clean sink with cool water and mild detergent. Gently agitate, drain the soapy water, rinse the garment and refill with cool water until the water is soap-free.
Do not wring linen to remove water excess as the fibers might stretch and you will see extra wrinkles. If you have rendang stains, immediately put some water. It is easier to remove them later. Take into account that hot water might shrink your garments.
Once cleaned, it is better to air-dry your cotton linen garment on a padded hanger or lay flat on a drying rack to avoid wrinkles. Avoid using machine dryer. If you are in a hurry, you may tumble dry in low mode for 5 minutes but take them out before the clothes gets too dry and you will have a hard time ironing.
When ironing, add moisture or steam. Set your iron on the linen setting and iron while the garment is still damp. The heat will dry the fabric and remove wrinkles. Don't forget to turn your garments inside out before ironing.
